Alba is a variety of Lavandin and part of the Grosso family.  Alba enjoys blooming in early summer with long stems up to 30 inches topped with creamy white flowers.  Like regular Grosso the oil is abundant and contains camphor. This plant has narrow gray-green leaves and will grow 3 to 4 feet tall or more and 4 feet wide but can easily be kept lower through trimming.  Like all lavenders Alba thrives in an open sunny location with poor alkaline soil.   To extend the life of Alba prune hard after flowering in late summer.  It is not recommended to do the pruning in late fall or winter.

Lavender Fresh Farm has about 120 plants of this variety that we harvest for fresh & dried bouquets.  These are a beautiful addition to wedding bouquets lending a beautiful fragrance and delicate white flowers.
