Provence is also known as “French lavender” and is one of the largest lavandin varieties. Provence features very long, dense and full spikes that are wonderful for fresh bouquets, lavender wands, and potpourri. The aroma is milder and sweeter than other lavenders.  This lavender plant grows best in climates with dry summers.  In wetter climates Provence is prone to fungal disease and can appear yellow after a period of time.  The long stems are perfect for fresh bouquets, however when dried the buds fall off quite easily.

Our farm has about 500 of this variety that we grow and harvest primarily for oil and dried craft buds.  We also propagate this plant to sell for landscaping.
