Vera, to me, is one of the original English lavenders.  It is an outstanding heirloom English Lavender.  Best known for its sweet fragrance.  Here in the Central San Joaquin Valley (our hot summers in the dessert) it grows well but does not bloom a lot because it is more of a cold hardy lavender.  Vera is a midsize lavender plant that produces dark lavender-blue flowers on short spikes in a compact shrub.  This variety prefers to grow in zones 4-8.

Lavender Fresh Farm as about 60 of these plants.  We sell these for landscaping and patio pots.  Vera does not produce much oil but is quite fragrant.  The stems are also too short for bouquets; however these are ideal for lavender wands or to dry for sachets and other crafts.
